Ukrainian Kutya

Though not prominent in terms of vegeterian cuisine availability, Ukraine does have a few recipes for the vegans and vegetarians. One of the famous recipe from the Ukraine which is one of the most appropriate for veggies sector of the population is the Kutya. Kutya is one popular and well-eaten food in Russian region. Also considered to be an auspicious dish during the Christmas festival and the Easter. Prepared from ingredients like Wheat Kernels, seeds, walnuts, honey and sugar this recipe is one other things sought after by the folks looking to grab an European method of cooking and eating.

Kutya is nothing but a sweet porridge made using the aforementioned ingredients. Some people also use margarine or butter for cooking. The entire cooking time could be expected from 15 – 30 minutes , hence does not qualify to be called an easy recipe. It seems that the dish originated when the Ukrainian first cultivated wheat. Equally good in taste and nutrition, this dish is worth trying.
